A story book by Jane and The Passionate Outdoor Painters: Between Cottages

Between Cottages is a fictional narrative short story about aging cottages in British Columbia’s Belcarra Park accompanied by paintings and photographs by a group of artists, The Passionate Outdoor Painters, that painted the cottages on location when they were threatened to be removed.

Paintings included in the book where all done on location by: “The Passionate Outdoor Painters” and also included Photographs by Jane Appleby, Jo and Andrea Ledingham of the Belcarra Heritage Society. The community living in the cottages at the time the book was written inspired Jane to write the book and continue to be part of the Parks ongoing effort to preserve heritage sites.

The inspirational story about the cottages missing the people that once lived in them, speaks on honouring them and our past, offering hope for the future from the stories we pass on.
