INVITATION is an exciting expression of the landscape after returning from the Okanagan one summer where I felt an invitation to employ contemporary gestures into the landscape in a lyrical way.
Artist’s Statement: This contemporary expression is like colourful movement of a song about nature and was painted after a joyful visit to the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia Canada, with it’s rolling hills and lake reflections.
In this painting I overlapped gestures of expressive lines, textures and colour, both transparent and opaque, to offer a unique play and excitement of expression to enjoy.
